Since its inception in 1999, the Web Site Evolution (WSE) series of events has provided a forum for researchers and practitioners to present original work on subjects related to the disciplined evolution of large-scale Web sites. As a one-day symposium WSE 2005 aims to bring together members of both the Software Maintenance & Evolution and Web Engineering communities and provide researcher and practitioners working in the areas of Web application design, development, maintenance and evolution with an environment to discuss results and exchange experiences about models, methods, techniques and technologies related to the above-mentioned areas. WSE 2005 will be held in Budapest, Hungary, on September 26 and is co-located with the 21st IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance (ICSM 2005). ICSM is the community’s flagship event focused on the modernization of existing systems. The technical program of WSE 2005 will include invited talks, paper presentations, and discussion sessions.
